Before you fly
Dublin Airport has two terminals. T1 handles Ryanair and most non-Aer Lingus carriers. T2 is used predominantly by Aer Lingus for both short-haul and transatlantic routes, as well as several other airlines including British Airways and US carriers. T1 and T2 are connected airside but have separate check-in areas and security queues.
Getting to the airport
Dublin Airport is served by two express bus routes connecting to the city centre: Dublin Express 784 runs to Trinity College and the south side (around 30 minutes off-peak), and Dublin Express 782 runs to Heuston Rail Station via the quays (around 30-40 minutes). There is no rail link to the airport. Taxis and rideshare are available from both terminals.
Terminal tips
Dublin operates US Customs and Border Protection pre-clearance for flights to the United States - passengers complete US arrival formalities in Dublin before boarding, landing as a domestic arrival in the US. This facility is in T2. Check-in and security for US pre-clearance flights requires additional time, so confirm your airline's recommended arrival time before travel.
