Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 8, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how SkyHopp(“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website. By using SkyHopp you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
We do not require you to register or create an account. The only information you actively provide is the origin airport you select in the interface.
Information collected automatically
- Approximate location— with your explicit permission through your browser’s Geolocation API, we use your coordinates to suggest your nearest airport. Coordinates are sent once to our server to compute the nearest airport and are never stored.
- Browser storage — we use
localStorageto remember your selected origin airport and to cache flight price data (for up to one hour) so that repeat visits load instantly. This data stays in your browser and is never transmitted to us. - Analytics — we use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to understand aggregate usage and page performance. These tools do not use cookies and do not track you across other websites.
- Server logs — our hosting provider may log standard HTTP request data (IP address, user agent, timestamp) for security and abuse prevention.
2. How we use your information
- To display flight prices and destinations from your origin.
- To detect the nearest airport when you grant location access.
- To diagnose performance issues and improve the product.
- To prevent abuse, fraud, and unauthorized use of our APIs.
3. Third-party services
SkyHopp integrates with the following third parties:
- Travelpayouts / Aviasales— we query their APIs to fetch cached flight prices and we deep-link to their booking pages. When you click a “View deal” link you are redirected to Aviasales, which operates under its own privacy policy. Our affiliate marker is included in the link so we can receive commission for qualifying bookings.
- Mapbox — map tiles and geocoding are served by Mapbox, which may process your IP address to deliver map data. See the Mapbox privacy policy.
- Vercel — our hosting and analytics provider. See the Vercel privacy policy.
4. Cookies and browser storage
See our dedicated Cookie Policy for details on what is stored in your browser and how to clear it.
5. Your rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Because we do not collect personally identifiable information in a retrievable database, most rights (access, deletion, portability) do not apply to data we hold about you specifically. You can:
- Clear your browser’s local storage at any time to remove cached preferences and prices.
- Revoke location permission via your browser settings.
- Opt out of analytics by using a browser that blocks third-party scripts.
- Contact us with any questions at skyhoppapp@gmail.com.
6. Children’s privacy
SkyHopp is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
7. Security
We serve SkyHopp over HTTPS and follow reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect any data we process. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page and the “Last updated” date above will be revised.
